South Bethlehem Event Celebrates 11th Year May 6 – 27, 2011
Bethlehem – A call for area photographers to compete in this anniversary show is being made. This local contest and show, sponsored by the South Bethlehem Historical Society and the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission, will be held at 3 locations this year. TIMEZONES Global Goodies and Framing Gallery, Fox Optical & Gallery and Home and Planet, all on East Third Street in South Bethlehem.
Works will be accepted for jurying on Monday, May 2nd, 2011. Selected works will be on display May 6th through May 27th.
Photographers of all ages and levels are encouraged to participate. Whether youth, amateur or professional, all participants are allowed up to 3 entries. Youth entries up to the age of 18 are strongly encouraged to enter. A prospectus for the event can be found on the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission website – http://www.bfac-lv.org. All submitted works must be framed with suitable gallery hanging.
This year’s event categories to include:
“South Bethlehem – Traditions”
“South Bethlehem – People”
“South Bethlehem in one square foot”.
Photographers are reminded to obtain a release form from any persons photographed.
Cash awards range from $50 to $250 for Best of Show.
The Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony will take place at 7:00 PM, First Friday, May 6th at the Victory Firehouse, 2nd and Webster Streets. Parking is available on site.
